Golden Knights: Golden retrivers are the new puppies of the NFL
The Golden Knights have taken a step in the right direction by adding Golden Retrievers to their roster.
Golden Knights President and General Manager George McPhee announced the team has signed free agent Golden Retriever Breanna Thomas.
The Golden Knight announced Tuesday that they have signed Thomas to a one-year contract.
The contract comes on the heels of a year and a half contract that Thomas signed with the Philadelphia Flyers.
McPhee and the Golden Knights staff also confirmed that Thomas has a commitment to the Golden Knight organization.
Thomas, a three-time All-Star, helped the Golden Glove winner win the 2015 Stanley Cup.
Thomas is one of just three Golden Knights players to win the Stanley Cup during her career.
She also won the 2014 Selke Trophy for best rookie.
The Golden Knights, who currently sit in fifth place in the Metropolitan Division, will travel to Detroit on Wednesday night for their final game of the regular season.
