In what has been a tumultuous year for TV, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and all things Breaking Bad-related, one of the few constants for everyone involved is the show’s legacy.
In the past few weeks, a number of stars and characters from the show have come and gone, from Gilligan’s exit to returning stars, but the core of the cast is still there and is going strong.
For the uninitiated, here are five things we learned about Breaking Bad’s legacy, and how fans should take it from here.1.
Gilligan left the series to join the showrunner position on Better Call Sa Saul.
While he’s been on the show since the second season, he’s had to leave the show and have a major role in the new season in order to be able to return to his old position.2.
The original Breaking Bad team was a group of people from the series, with creator Vince Gilligan as the head of the show, Bob Odenkirk as showrunner, and Gary Newman as a writer.3.
Gilligans departure from the writing staff was one of several key changes that went on for the show in season two.
The writers room was reorganized, the producers office moved, and the executive producers, who would eventually go on to write the show themselves, were all made part of the writing team.4.
During season two, a new series of episodes were released to stream on Netflix.
While Gilligan did not show any affection for the first series of seasons, he did feel a deep responsibility to the new ones, and he decided to give it his all to make sure that his original staff was fully prepared for the next season.5.
When asked about his own plans for the future of the series after his exit, Gilligan said that he hoped to continue working with the series’ original cast and crew, but that he didn’t have any final plans yet.
