The new president has begun a series of meetings with leaders of countries in the Middle East and Africa, with an eye on a series on the region’s security situation and economic development.
He also meets with world leaders at the G-20 Summit in Germany.
Trump has already held a series with world powers in a bid to put the world on notice that his administration is serious about tackling the threat posed by the rise of terror groups like the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, also known as ISIL.
The Trump administration’s goal is to put a dent in the terrorist group’s finances and spread the burden of the conflict on other countries.
The group has seized territory and control over large parts of Syria and Iraq.
