When a gold statue is stolen from a home
A black gold statue from a Los Angeles home has been stolen by thieves who broke into the home last week and took it to a local gold-mining facility, police said.
The statue, made of gold and silver, was taken from a house in the 1400 block of S.E. Broadway on Friday by three men, who stole it, said Sgt. Scott Ritchie of the Los Angeles Police Department.
They broke into a home in the 900 block of South Green Street and took the statue, which was valued at about $100,000, Ritchie said.
The statue was later returned to the house, and no one was injured, he said.
It is unclear what the stolen statue is worth.
